Kharl Ed Olega has spent over twenty years making images that work — commercials that move product, documentaries that change policy, music videos that define careers, and PSAs that reach millions.

A graduate of the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts — one of the world's most competitive film programmes. In 2023, he was invited to test cameras at the American Society of Cinematographers clubhouse in Hollywood: a distinction few practitioners from the African continent have earned.

Back home, he founded SkyRock Production — now the official production arm for BETWAY Uganda. He co-founded Film256, Uganda's national association of film practitioners, and lectures at Makerere University's Department of Performing Arts and Film.
